Patti L. Cuddy

Patti Cuddy, age 75, passed away peacefully at home on December 17, 2024. Patti was born in La Crosse, Wisconsin to Donald Koelbl and Mavis (Hicke) Koelbl. She was a graduate from Aquinas Catholic High School in 1967 in La Crosse, WI. Patti married David Cuddy Sr. of Augusta, Kansas on September 23rd 1969 in Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by Donald Koelbl (Father), Mavis (Hicke) Koelbl (Mother), Norma (Dodds) Cuddy. (Mother-in-law), Alan Cuddy (Father-in-law), Brothers-in Law Bruce Mathison, Arthur Cuddy, Michael Cuddy, Alan Cuddy, Jimmy Cuddy, Sisters-in-Law Nancy Cuddy and Linda Moore, Niece Sarah Mathison/Hanson and many other family members. Patti did not want a service so to follow her wishes we are planning on a memorial next year, date an location will come at a later date. Patti is survived by her Husband of 55 years David Cuddy Sr. whom she met while both of them were serving in the Navy, her sister Debra (Bruce), Sister-in-Law Katie Willis/Cuddy, Brother-in-Law Christopher Cuddy, her Son David (Hollie) Cuddy Jr., Daughter Kari (Joshua) Burden, Daughter Cindy Cuddy, her Grandchildren Wesley Hodge, Rachel (Garth Slack) Cuddy, Ellie (Kris) Vanderpool Layne Hodge, Savanna (Cody Stephens) Cuddy, D. J. Dearring, Jayme Hodge, Madelyn Armitage, Ethan Cuddy and Daniel Armitage. She had 17 Great Neices and Nephews and 4 Great Grandchildren, plus so very many friends she considered family! Patti loved to knit, crochet and cross stitch. She loved making blankets, scarves, hats and sweaters for her family and friends, often making her own patterns to make something her family wanted! She loved music and always had oldies playing! She played the piano, accordion and some guitar. Her and Dad often played together, her on piano and him guitar, plus they played a song together on the same guitar! They loved to have parties at their house. Patti loved singing with her karaoke machine, even more when her grand kids joined in! Patti was also very proud of her grandsons Wesley and Layne who both served in the military. Wesley in the Air Force and Layne in the Army and National Guard! She was very proud of Madelyn Armitage for Debate and her GPA in High School and her and Daniel both for playing Violin. She told Layne the day before she passed that her and Dad had a good life and would do it all over again, which we've all heard her say before! Patti was very much a people person, she was loved by everyone that knew her. She is very loved and will be forever missed!!
