Norma J. Keyes Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Norma Jean Hill-Keyes, 82, of Birch Tree, MO passed away on January 9th, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, MO after a long illness. Norma was a woman of strength, love, humor, and faith. She was loved by all who met her and people enjoyed being in her company. She was an avid reader and loved her family fiercely. Norma was born on December 2, 1938 in Oronogo, MO to Wallace Lewis Johnson and Beatrice (Craig) Johnson. She was their only child. Norma attended school in Webb City, MO. Norma spent many years working for the City of Carl Junction, MO where she helped raise her family with her first husband Gary Hill. Later, she moved to Tulsa, OK and spent several years working at Kinko’s, as a supervisor in the copy department. She loved creating image memories there for her customers and family. In 1998, she moved back to Missouri and worked for Howsman’s Office Products in Joplin. Norma then moved to Birch Tree, MO in 2004 where she married Jerry Keyes. Norma loved to spend time with her beloved dog Tator Tot and was fantastic at creating life long memories with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved going to church. She was a marvelous cook and loved cooking for her family. Norma was a remarkable wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Norma is survived by her husband Jerry Keyes of Birch Tree, MO, children Deborah Smith of Carl Junction, MO, David (Debbie) Hill of Webb City, MO, Dana (Brian) Ennis of Gulf Shores, AL, grandchildren Jami (Ashlie) Voerg of Saint Louis, MO, Heather Driscoll of Denver, CO, Michelle (Ryan) Hunter of Webb City, MO, Nikki (Jimmie) Collins of Webb City, MO, Kristen (Derek) Kargo of Denver, CO, and great grandchildren Connor, Riley, Hannah, Nora and Danika.
