John R. Kowalske

September 10, 1948 - May 29, 2022

John "Jack" Robert Kowalske, of Springfield, Missouri, was born September 1948 and passed away at age 73 on May 29, 2022. He is survived by his wife, Marie Kowalske; daughter, Kimberley Kowalske Curtis; son, Christopher Kowalske; brother, David Kowalske and two grandchildren, Devon & Lindsey Curtis. Jack grew up in Detroit, MI where he attended Central Catholic High School. After high school, he served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years as an Electronic Intelligence Analyst, retiring with the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. Post military retirement, Jack returned to school to complete his bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Texas at San Antonio and then earned a law degree from St. Mary's University. As a lifelong learner, Jack continued his education by studying criminal justice at West Texas A&M University and then public administration at Missouri State University. He served as a staff attorney at West Texas Legal Services and retired from the Social Security Administration as a Senior Staff Attorney Advisor. Jack was an avid reader and loved to travel. Our family is grateful that Jack is at peace.
