Cynthia L. Stines-MacAfee

September 20, 1954 - June 2, 2022

Cynthia Louise Stines-MacAfee, of rural Anderson, passed way peacefully and unexpectedly early in the morning of June 2, 2022, at the age of 67, with her loving husband at her side. She was born on September 20, 1954, in Carthage, Missouri, to William Albert "Bill" and Betty Lou (Stutes) Stines. She was preceded in death by both of her parents and her older brother, Michael Stines. She leaves behind her husband, Robert MacAfee; sisters Roberta Stines, of West Plains, MO, and Suzanne Bradshaw, of Birch Tree, MO; son and dauther-in-law, Tommy and Heather Stines, of Springfield, MO; daughter and son-in-law, Alicia and Ron Ellis, of Lawrence, KS; daughter, Tabitha Farris, of Neosho, MO; son, Jason Farris, of Petersburg, VA; grandchildren Caitlyn and Frankie Smith and Emma Stines, of Harrison, AR; Ryan, Rory, Charlie, and Dax Farris, of Neosho, MO; great-grandchildren, Mila, Erin, and Wyatt; and several neices, nephews, and uncounted "adopted" children and grandchildren. She also had a special place in her heart for her brother-in-law and wife, Jake and Melinda McAfee, nephew-in-law and wife, Rusty and Rachel Wallin, and their children Isaiah, Avyiah, Carder, and Cora, all of Wyandotte, OK; and her neice-in-law, Amanda Pierce, and her children Brooke and Travarie, of Moore, OK. Cyndi graduated from Liberty High School in Mountain View, MO, in 1971; from nursing school in 1981, and earned a degree in computer network technology in 2001. She was a life-long student with a passion for learning, and she loved fostering that passion in her children and grandchildren. She has always had a very close relationship with her Lord, and rededicated her life to her faith within the last ten years. We notes that the bible verse she was studying the night before her passing was, "Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies." (Proverbs 31:10) The sentiment of this verse perfectly illustrated who she was to her family; more precious than anything else in the world. She was our center, the glue that held us together, and she will be forever loved, missed, and remembered. She had a kind heart, a soft smile, and was loved fiercely by anyone that knew her. A Celebration of Life for Cyndi will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at The Weston Place in Neosho, with the time to be announced in the Facebook group, "In Loving Memory of Cynthia Louise Stines-MacAfee" later this summer. Cards and condolences can be mailed to her husband and children at 2099 Allison Rd., Anderson, MO, 64831.
