Dana S. Mittag

Dana S. Mittag 64 of Galena, KS passed away June 2nd, 2019 after an illness. She was born November 23rd, 1954 in Granby MO. To Shirley Casey and Robert “Nick” Carter. She was proceeded in death by her parents. Dana was married to Milbern Martin Mittag in 1979 he proceeded her in death. Dana had 5 siblings, surviving siblings include Billy Palmer, Buddy Palmer, Tod Palmer and Louise James. Her brother Danny Palmer also proceeded her in death. Dana had 5 children. David Palmer of Diamond, MO. And his 5 children Tyler Palmer, Taylor Palmer, Trevor Palmer, Tucker Palmer, Tieranny Palmer-Cook and her husband Dalton Cook and their son Parker Cook. Miles Mittag of Galena KS and his ex (her daughter) Betty Oliver, two children Drake Mittag and wife Savannah and their daughter Quinley Mittag. Kora Mittag age 7 of whom Dana was caring for. Dallas Kinnaird and his wife Kren and their two children Mason and Paige Kinnaird. Alan Tash whom proceeded her in death, his children Chelsea Casey and her husband Billy of Columbus, KS and their children Myah, Ashlynn, Harmony, Liam, and Kaesyn. Alan Tash 2nd of Riverton KS whom also proceeded her in death, his wife Krystal Tash and their two daughters Brileigh and Brynlee. Todd Tash, Kendra Potter and her husband Dillon Potter and their children daughter Layken, and son River. Dillon Tash and his wife Olivia of Galena KS. Alexandra Blake Tash whom proceeded her in death. Jayda Tash and her daughter Kezlyn Tash of Riverton, KS. Amy Huffman. Last but not least her daughter Mary Elizabeth Mittag-Youngblood and her husband Eric Gage Youngblood of Galena KS and Mary’s ex husbands Ricky Alan Hood and Nathaniel Flinn both of Galena KS. Her children Derick Hood, Hallie Carter, Bentley Carter, Jagger Carter, and Arles Youngblood. Close friends Eva Youngblood, Maria Anspach, Pat Andrews, Darrell Ludwig, Lloyd Lee, Erica Lee, Abby Myers, and Gail Adams. Along with many other people whom looked at Dana like a mother or grandmother and close family friend. Dana worked as a C.N.A. at Barkers rest home in empire for many years and Oxford health care and Skills. She attended Diamond High School and grew up in Diamond MO with her mother Shirley and step father Bud Palmer and her siblings. She loved to spend time with her husband Mel and her children and grandchildren. She was deeply loved by all and will be deeply missed. Per her request there will be no services. There will be a benefit at hogs and hot rods bar Joplin MO, Sunday June 9th 2019 at 2pm to help the family with final expenses. May my mother rest in peace in the arms of God our father and Creator in Heaven above. Amen.
